Purex No Sort for Colors Detergent Review

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been posting lately, but here's another review for you guys. I can't wait until the summer when I can hopefully post more frequently for you guys. Sorry again for the long waits in between reviews. I'll be posting a couple more soon.
First of all, yes, I did get this for free from Purex in exchange for an honest review. This review is completely honest and completely my own. I'm under no obligation to write a positive review and I would never accept anything that required me to. Now, let's get started.
Purex No Sort for Colors Detergent is a new detergent that Purex is coming out with and it is supposed to allow you to have mixed color loads without any or less color transfer. It has "Anti-Color-Transfer Technology" which is supposed to trap loose dyes in the wash to reduce color bleeding.
If you read the label, it seems relatively easy to use, but it does have a warning saying that before you try it with strongly colored fabrics or new clothes, you should first separately wash them at least 5 times before trying it with this detergent in a mixed color load. So, essentially, it can't perform miracles and can't be expected to be able to prevent color bleeding no matter what. Okay… somewhat understandable.
Now, my test.
The instructions told me to fill to level D for normal loads, but for some reason, the inside of the cap doesn't have any markings, which I found quite annoying since it made me have to guess the amount of detergent and I don't know if I put too much, too little, or the right amount.
It has a dark blue color and has a rather fresh scent that was quite strong. It doesn't seem to be special in any way and seems like a normal laundry detergent.
I tried it on a white shirt, a pair of jeans, a red hoodie, a black hoodie, and other miscellaneous pieces of clothing.
The result?
The clothes were clean and the white shirt stayed white. However, I'm not sure if it was because I used the detergent. It may have been that the dyes of the clothing didn't run and thus, nothing turned a different color.

Overall, as a detergent it worked well. However, I don't appreciate that it doesn't have markings on the inside of the cap. It's inconvenient and harder to use because of it. After all, if you have to constantly guess the amount, you may put too much and have to put the clothes through a second cycle or put too little and have the clothes not be clean. Because of this, I don't know if I would recommend it.

And that's it for my review! I hope it was informative and if you have any questions, I would be happy to answer them!
We also have a giveaway for free product coupons for this detergent here and we have 3 to give away!
Hurry on over and enter!

In addition to that, Purex is also having a sweepstakes and 1 grand prize winner will receive $1000 and 100 2nd place winners will each get a free product coupon for this detergent! Enter here! It ends April 28th!

Dial Soaps Review

Hi everyone! Welcome to another review. Yes, I did get this for free from Purex in exchange for an honest review. This review is completely honest and completely my own. I'm under no obligation to write a positive review and I would never accept anything that required me to. Now, let's get started.

First, the "coconut lime verbena" scented one.
It has a pump top that is easy to twist open (the first time) and use. The soap has a slight tinge of green and works into a white lather. The tiny scrubbing beads or "micro scrubbers" can clearly be felt when using the soap and they make it seem like the soap works better and cleans deeper. It also felt moisturizing while using it. It has a tropical, fruity scent. Perhaps, mango? I'm not sure, but after use, my skin felt rather soft, but I felt that the scrubbing power could be a bit better because I had a bandaid on before and sticky residue was left behind after I took it off. The soap didn't completely remove it.
However, it is hard to get off, so I don't think it was really a problem with the soap. Overall, the moisturizing portion of it was fine and the cleaning power was okay as well.

Now, the "yellow raspberry & black sugar" scented one.
It's in the same container as the other variety and has a slight yellow tint. It smells like Welch's fruit snacks in orange or peach flavor. It has a white lather and feels a bit less moisturizing while in use than the "coconut lime verbena" one. Again, the "micro scrubbers" were clearly felt and seemed to do their job. After using it, my skin felt pretty soft and the soap seemed to clean my hands well, so overall, I liked it. Also, after using it, it lasted for quite a while afterwards.

And that's all! Thank you for reading as always and I'm also hosting a giveaway for five free product coupons for this soap in this post. Just click this link

Purex Crystals Review

Hi everyone! Here's one of the promised reviews. Yes, I did get this for free from Purex in exchange for an honest review. This review is completely honest and completely my own. I'm under no obligation to write a positive review and I would never accept anything that required me to. Now that that's out of the way, let's get started.
The container is pretty big and the plastic feels pretty thin. It feels a little thicker than maybe a plastic water bottle. The crystals themselves were about the size of sea salt (a little larger, really) and they had a fresh, flowery kind of scent, which made sense since it was the scent "fresh mountain breeze".
The outermost cap was easy to pop off, which might make you worry about crystals spilling all over the place if the bottle falls, but if it's closed correctly, it won't open even if it falls. And there's a second cap on the inside, which won't open as long as it is closed correctly as well. The outermost cap is not connected to the bottle and has lines on the inside to measure out the crystals with.
The process of using these crystals is quite simple. You measure out the required amount using the lines as a reference and toss them into the washing machine drum.
Then you just put your clothes in, put in your detergent, fabric softener, etc. and start the cycle. So, it's easy to use.
Now, for the results. After washing, I air-dried it and after it was dry, I felt that the scent had dissipated and was no longer there. I couldn't smell it at all. I was really disappointed that it didn't last at all, but there might be reason for it. For example, I may not have put enough for the amount of clothes I put in, but based on this experience, I would not buy this product. If you are looking for a product like this, I'd try one of the other options available for purchase.

That's it for this review. Thank you for reading and I will write more in the future, but it's going to be really slow right now since school is in session. Thanks again!

The Giveaway
If you'd like to try these Purex crystals anyway, feel free to enter the giveaway I'm hosting over here. Good luck!

Ozeri Precision Digital Bathroom Scale Review

Recently, I had the opportunity to try out an Ozeri PRECISION Digital Bathroom Scale for free in exchange for a review. My opinions are still 100% honest and my own. I was under no obligation to write a positive review and definitely wouldn't accept something that required me to. Now, let's get started.
First, a little about the scale. *This is a direct quote from the product description they provided me.*
"The new Ozeri Precision Digital Bathroom Scale features auto calibration technology that makes tracking your weight easy, right out of the box. With the latest generation of Step-on Activation, your body weight is displayed immediately upon stepping onto the scale, with no tapping required to turn on or activate the scale. The Ozeri Precision Digital Bathroom Scale accurately displays results in increments of 0.2 pounds or 0.1 kilograms on its easy to read widescreen LCD, and uses 4 G sensors to capture weights up to 400 lbs or 180 kg with industry leading accuracy. The Ozeri Precision Digital Bathroom Scale also boasts a convenient unit button that instantly changes the unit of measurement from pounds to kilograms and optionally British stones. The Ozeri Precision Digital Bathroom Scale utilizes an oversized platform, impact resistant tempered glass, and durable construction. It is designed with accuracy, convenience and ease of use in mind. It also turns off automatically to conserve battery life, and runs on 1 Lithium 2032 battery (included) for the best in performance. Your Satisfaction is 100% Guaranteed."
Just from the product description, it seems like a very good and precise bathroom scale. Now, my actual review.

Review:
It was pretty easy to set up. I had a bit of a hard time finding the battery, but I found it on the cardboard piece that you see when you first pull it all out (see picture).
After that, you just need to open the slide cover on the back of the scale (see picture) and slip the battery into place. Then, you just close it and flip the scale again.
Next, you just need to step on to calibrate it. Meaning, the first weight reading you'll see is wrong. When you step off, it'll show 'C' on the screen (meaning it's calibrated) and then you can step on again to see your true weight! It's as easy as that!
About my experience with it, I thought that it had an easy to read screen and I found it very useful that it turns on and off automatically when you step on or off the scale. The reading was very fast and accurate. I compared it to another scale to test for accuracy and they showed about the same weights, give or take about .2 pounds. And, it takes just a few seconds to show your weight and the number will blink when it's done. Also, there's a feature on it that allows you to change the unit for weight measure. You just press the little red button on the back of it (see picture) until the screen shows the unit that you want to measure in. Again, very easy to use.
Overall, the scale does exactly what it is meant to quickly and accurately. It's made with tempered glass, so it's quite durable and easy to clean as well (just use a dampened cloth). I would say that I would recommend it. I think that if you are looking for a scale that is accurate and easy to use, this is a good product option.
If you would like to buy it (*as of right now, 11/13 9:15 PM EST, it's unavailable, so check back later!*), click here.

Okay, well, that's it for this review! I hope it was helpful and I hope you enjoyed it! Thank you for reading!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Diamond Candles Review & Giveaway

Hi everyone! This is in fact another sponsored review & giveaway. I know that I've been posting a lot of them recently, I really do, but I still don't know what to review for the non-sponsored review. I really want to do one soon, though.
Anyway, I received a Diamond Candle for free in exchange for a review, but despite this, my opinions are 100% mine & honest. Your opinions may differ from mine. I am under absolutely no obligation to write a positive review and I definitely wouldn't accept a review request that required me to.

Now, let's get started!

I was extremely excited to review Diamond Candles. I've seen plenty of reviews & giveaways from other bloggers and I've purchased one myself (the cinnamon roll one) in the past. For those of you who don't know what Diamond Candles are, they are a company that makes all natural soy candles and inside each of those candles, there's a ring! So, not only do you get a candle that has a nice scent, you also get a piece of jewelry to keep even after the candle's completely burned down! And, it also makes a nice gift! You can see some more information about them here and in the video below.
Now the actual review!
The first thing I noticed was the good protective packaging. It was within a cardboard box and had paper wrapped around it. I appreciated that they took these measures to make sure that my candle wasn't damaged.

Green Earth Pan by Ozeri Review

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been posting reviews lately, but today I have a new thing I'm reviewing and it's different from what I usually review (i.e. health & beauty products), but I hope it's helpful.

Most of us probably have non-stick pans, right? But did you know that those pans use PTFE (Do you really want to know the full name?), which, when used at very high temperature can decompose and release fumes that can be lethal to birds & small pets and harmful to you too? Did you also know that those pans are made with PFOA, which the EPA classifies as a pollutant to the environment? I sure didn't know that and when I did, I was like, "Seriously? I've been using that this entire time and I didn't know it?" Which is probably how you're going to feel when you see this.

Well, with this pan, I don't have to worry about that because it's made with GREBLON (R), a 100% PTFE & PFOA free ceramic non-stick coating.

Kenmore Intuition 31810

This vacuum cleaner is pretty good. The suction is great and I love the dirt sensor that tells you where there is hidden dirt. The fact that it's bagged is also great because that means easy cleanup. There were a few bad points though. The first one is that it was a bit confusing to set it up in the first place. I didn't have the manual, so I was thinking, does this tube go with that thing and so on. (Recommendation: When you buy it, make sure it has a manual. I knew mine wouldn't include one, but still.) The second one was that it was so heavy. It was hard to lift and when the time came to vacuum, it was really hard to push on hardwood floors and the carpets. Overall, I don't really think I would recommend this unless you want a really good workout while cleaning up the house.

Overall:

Pros:

  1. Good suction
  2. Dirt sensor
  3. Bagged (for easy cleanup)

Cons:

  1. Confusing to put together
  2. Heavy
  3. Hard to push on various floors.

I don't think this would be a good product for everyone, so I wouldn't recommend it.
Check back in a week or so for another review! Remember to comment what you want me to review next!

Keurig B30 Mini Coffee Brewer

Sorry about not writing reviews lately, but I was really busy these past few weeks with family stuff. So today, I'm going to write a review on the Keurig B30 model Mini Coffee Brewer. This is a kind of older model, but it is a really good coffee brewer and definitely just as good as any other Keurig.

The Keurig B30 is a personal coffee brewer that brews only one cup at a time, but does a very good job at it. The coffee is always hot and the amount that comes out of the brewer is perfect. I would say that it makes a 10 oz. coffee if you fill it with water to its fill line. It's perfect for a 12 oz. cup if you like cream and sugar with your coffee. And, if you like your coffee a bit bolder than what the label says it is, just put in less water and that typically helps a bit.

The K-cups themselves are awesome because they are really convenient to just put in and not have to worry about measurements. It's also easy to clean. You just take out the k-cup and throw it out. Then, you just pop out the black k-cup holder and rinse under the tap or run some water through the machine.  The only annoying thing is that the k-cups can be kind of expensive. Taking that into consideration, Keurig also made a "my k-cup" which is for using the loose, ground coffee you already have at home. However, I don't recommend using that because it makes really light coffee and sometimes grains of coffee falls into your drink and creates a gritty texture in your mouth.

Overall, the Keurig B30 is an amazing coffee maker and its value is good. I would recommend this to anyone, but don't use the "My K-Cup".

I'll write another review tomorrow, but don't forget that you can request a review for a product you'd like to know more about. I will try to help out and I will give you my honest opinion. See you back here tomorrow!

Purex Ultra Packs and Downy Unstoppables

Sorry again! Got caught up in the Mother's Day Madness, but since I missed Sunday, I'll be posting a review about 2 products.

Purex Ultra Packs
Purex Ultra Packs are like all the other no-mess laundry detergents available today. It is a medium blue color and packs a punch in the washing machine. I popped it into the washing machine, put in the clothes, and turned it on. It was like my experience with Tide Pods. It was mess-free, easy to use, and makes clothes very clean. The clothes also had a clean, fresh scent in the end. Overall, it was a great product.

Downy Unstoppables
I LOVE Downy Unstoppables. I got the fresh scent one (the one in the blue bottle) and it smelled so good. I just popped a cupful into the washing machine with my clothes and voila, delicious smelling clothes. In fact, during the whole wash, it made my whole basement smell good! I actually washed it with it a few days ago and it still smells faintly like the scent. This product is easy to use (you just pour a cupful  and toss it in), smells great, and overall, is a wonderful product to use when you need to wash smelly clothes or old dish towels that are always DISGUSTING

I hope you guys liked these reviews. Don't forget to tell your friends! Thanks for reading!

***UPDATE***
Ok, I've tried the other scent of Downy Unstoppables and I have to say, I'm a little disappointed in the lush scent one (the one in the purple bottle). It smells really good, but it's not as strong as the fresh scent one, so I barely noticed the scent at all after the wash. I think you have to put in a lot just to smell the scent. I would recommend the fresh scent more because it is stronger and works better in my opinion.

Tide Pods!

Hi! Sorry I haven't been posting for a while, but I just tried out a great new product! Have you heard of Tide Pods? Well, if you have, you're probably a bit doubtful about some of the claims, but don't be. I tried one of them out on one seemingly large load and they worked great! It dissolved quickly and my clothes really were clean. I use Tide liquid detergent on a regular basis and I have to say, it usually takes a second rinse to get all the soap out of my clothes. I don't know if I'm putting too much or if it's just the formula, but that's my experience with Tide liquid detergent. With Tide Pods, I know I'm not putting too much or too little, I just need to pop one in, so now I don't need to put it through a second rinse. OK, to just sum it up, Tide Pods are...

  1. Easy to use- All you have to do is pop one in!
  2. Very good at cleaning- Mmmm... fresh clothes!
  3. Good at dissolving quickly- So you get all the 3-in-1 goodness
  4. Just amazing in general- Really, they are
I hope you guys try them, they are really amazing! I can't wait to use them again.

Now on a side note, I'm going to try to post one review every week, so tune in every week to check out my new review. Thanks for reading!
